Are the captions made by AI in the cloud?
No. They are made by whisper.cpp running locally. The model file comes from Hugging Face once; your audio is never uploaded.
Which languages work?
The model is multilingual, so most common languages are recognised. English is the most accurate.
Can I turn captions off after making them?
Yes. Hide them, or export an .srt file instead of burning them in.
